The Mercedes-Benz M116 was a series of Gasoline automotive V8 engine made by Mercedes-Benz between 1969 and 1991. All models were a Single overhead camshaft design with 2 valves per cylinder and featured Bosch Jetronic Fuel injection. These engines were introduced as smaller displacement alternatives to the Mercedes-Benz M117 engine, however they shared few common parts.
