Mick Thomson (born 1973/1974) is an American heavy metal musician. He is known as being one of two guitarists in the heavy metal band Slipknot. When performing with Slipknot, Thomson is known as "Number Seven", being that the band follows a numbering scheme for its members, ranging from 0-8. His number is also tattooed on his left arm, as "seven", which can be seen in music videos such as Dead Memories. According to Shawn Crahan, Thomson wanted number 7, because it is his lucky number.
