Milan Chovanec (born January 31, 1970, Plzeň, Czech Republic) is a Czech politician and since 29 January 2014 he has been Minister of the Interior of the Czech Republic in the current Cabinet of the Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka. He also has been Member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic since 26 October 2013. Previously he served as governor of Pilsen Region between 2010 - 2014 and as Member of Pilsen Town Council from 2002 until 2010.
