Government Model Engineering College, Thrikkakara (MEC) is an institute of engineering and technology located in Thrikkakara near Kochi, Kerala in South India. Founded in 1989, it is among the top ranked engineering colleges in Kerala, and one of the top engineering schools in India. MINT, the business daily of Hindustan Times in collaboration with Wall Street Journal featured MEC as the 28th best among the top 50 government engineering colleges in India.
