Mohsen Rezaei Mirgha'ed, also spelled Rezai (Persian: Mohsen Rezāi Mirqāed) (born Sabzevar Rezaei Mirgha'ed; born 9 September 1954), is an Iranian politician, economist, former military commander, and secretary of the Expediency Discernment Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran.Dubbed a “Perennial candidate”, Rezaei ran as a conservative presidential candidate in the 2009 elections, coming third with 1.7 percent of the vote, behind winner Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and reformist runner-up Mir-Hossein Mousavi.
