Monarchos (foaled February 9, 1998) is an American Thoroughbred racehorse and stallion. In a racing career which lasted from July 2000 until January 2002 he ran ten times and won four races. He is best known for winning the 2001 Kentucky Derby in the second fastest time in the race's history.
