Colonel (Retd.) Sahibzada Muhammad Shahid Sarwar Azam FIEB (/ʃɑːhiːðsɑːrwɑːrɑːzɑːm/, Urdu: محمد شاہد سرور اعظم شاه جہاں; Bengali: মুহাম্মাদ শহীদ সারওয়ার pronounced [shah-eed sar-war azam]; born Muhammad Shahid Sarwar Azam Shah Jahan on 31 December 1952, sometimes spelled Mohammad Shaheed Sarwar Azam) is the current head of the Singranatore family. In the mid-1960s, he started his military career as a cadet at the age of fourteen under the Pakistan Army before the war of 1965 and 1971.
