The National Intelligence and Security Service (Arabic: جهاز الأمن والمخابرات الوطني السوداني‎, Jihaaz Al Amn Al Watani Wal Mukhaabaraat) is the intelligence service of the federal government of Sudan. The NISS is an incredibly powerful body, and has been granted extensive powers by the National Security Acts of 1999 and 2010.It is widely accepted that in addition to its domestic operations, the NISS has operations and agents throughout the Middle East, North Africa and Western Europe.
