The New Power Party (NPP; Chinese: 時代力量; pinyin: Shídài Lìliàng) is a political party which is an emerging third party, along with the two major parties, the Kuomintang and the Democratic Progressive Party, in Taiwan. The party emerged from the Sunflower Student Movement and advocates for universal human rights, civil and political liberties, and maintaining Taiwan's independence as a sovereign state.
