Nora Clearman England (born November 8, 1946) is an American linguist, Mayanist, and Dallas TACA Centennial Professor at University of Texas at Austin.She graduated from the University of Florida with a Ph.D. She taught at the University of Iowa. She led a workshop, and field visit to Iximche, attended by Linda Schele and Nicholai Grube. She is founding director of the Center for Indigenous Languages of Latin America (CILLA).
