Odense Municipality, (Danish: Odense Kommune) is a Danish municipality (kommune) in Region of Southern Denmark on the island of Funen in central Denmark. The municipality covers an area of 304.34 km2 (118 sq mi), and has a population of 196,090(1 April 2014). It is the most populous municipality in Region of Southern Denmark.Odense's mayor is Anker Boye, representing the Social Democrats (since 1 January 2010).
