Olearia elliptica, commonly known as the sticky daisy bush, is a shrub in the Asteraceae family native to New South Wales and Queensland in eastern Australia. It was named by Augustin Pyramus de Candolle in 1836. The subspecies praetermissa is endemic to Lord Howe Island.It grows as a shrub to 2 m (7 ft) high.The leaves are arranged alternately along the stems, and measure 2–11.5 cm (0.8-4.5 in) long and 0.5–3.8 cm wide. The flowerheads appear from November to May and are arranged in corymbs.
