Parè is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Como in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 40 kilometres (25 mi) northwest of Milan and about 6 kilometres (4 mi) west of Como, on the border with Switzerland. As of 31 December 2007, it had a population of 1,784 and an area of 2.2 square kilometres (0.85 sq mi).Parè borders the following municipalities: Cavallasca, Chiasso (Switzerland), Drezzo, Faloppio, Gironico, Olgiate Comasco.
