Parides phaleucas is a species of butterfly in the Papilionidae family. It is found in Ecuador and Peru.Parides phalaecus has a spatulate tail. The body is very hairy and the white band, which traverses both wings, is intersected by black veins.There are two subspecies.P. p. phalaecus EcuadorP. p. nieva Möhn, 1999 in Butterflies of the World 8: 1, pl. 1, f. 1-4, type locality: Rio Nieva, 2500-3000m, Amazonas, N.Peru.
