A pastizz (plural pastizzi) is a savoury pastry from Malta. Pastizzi usually have a filling either of ricotta or of mushy peas, and are called pastizzi tal-irkotta, "tal haxu", or pastizzi tal-piżelli' Pastizzi are a popular and well-known Maltese food.
