Paswan (meaning Sentinel or Defender or Worthy of praise) also known as Pasi in some states of India is a community of Hindus in India. They are generally found in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand but exist throughout India and especially in cities like New Delhi and Mumbai.
