Per Johan Alström (born 9 April 1961) is a Swedish docent of systematics and evolutionary research. He researches in taxonomy, systematics, and evolution as a part-time work, with birds in Asia as a specialty. Alström works at the data bank (Artdatabanken) at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, but has previously worked at Uppsala University and the Swedish Museum of Natural History.
