Pete Michels is an animation director. He has been an animation director on Family Guy and done some supervising direction on subsequent seasons, as well as on the short-lived TV show, Kid Notorious. He started working on The Simpsons in 1990 as a background layout artist. He worked his way up to character layout artist, timer, assistant director and then director. He has been a director on Rugrats and Rocko's Modern Life. He is now the supervising director of Rick and Morty.
