Planetes (プラネテス, Puranetesu, Ancient Greek: πλανήτες "Planets", which literally means, by Ancient Greek translation, "Wanderers") is a Japanese hard science fiction manga written and illustrated by Makoto Yukimura. It was adapted into a 26-episode anime television series by Sunrise, which was broadcast on NHK from October 2003 through April 2004.
