President Adar is a fictional character in the 1978 TV series Battlestar Galactica, played by Lew Ayres. He appears in the pilot episode, "Saga of a Star World", as the last elected President of the Quorum of the Twelve.Relying on Count Baltar for advice, Adar orders the Colonial fleet not to assume a defensive posture as they are ambushed by a horde of 1000 Cylon raiders.
