Priddy Meeks (August 29, 1795 - October 7, 1886) was an American frontier doctor who developed into a minor folk hero and villain. Occasionally a character in Mormon literature such as the short story "They Did Go Forth" by Maurine Whipple. His writing was included in the seminal Mormon anthology A Believing People.He founded the town of Winsor in present-day Mount Carmel Junction, Utah and is associated with the founding of Utah's Dixie generally.
