Prospect is a neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky, United States. It forms part of the Louisville Metro government although it is separately incorporated as a home rule-class city and lies partially within Oldham County. The population was 4,657 at the time of the year 2000 U.S. Census. It is one of the wealthiest communities in Kentucky.
