Prostanthera saxicola is a shrub that is native to south-eastern Australia. It has a variable habit, growing to between 0.2 and 2 metres high. The leaves are 3 to 15 mm long and 1 to 6 mm wide. The white or mauve flowers appear between July and February in the species native range.The species was formally described in 1810 by botanist Robert Brown. It occurs in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.Four varieties are currently recognised:P. saxicola var. bracteolata - slender mintbush.
