Reply 1988 (Hangul: 응답하라 1988; RR: Eungdabhara 1988) is a 2015 South Korean television series starring Lee Hyeri, Go Kyung-pyo, Park Bo-gum, Ryu Hye-young, Sung Dong-il, Lee Il-hwa. It is a heartwarming family drama set in the year of 1988. According to director Shin Won-ho, the story will not focus on first love but on five families who live in the same neighborhood. A previous MBC program "Three Families Under One Roof," which ran from 1986 to 1994, inspired the drama.
