The Reynolds Homestead, also known as Rock Spring Plantation, was home of R. J. Reynolds, founder of the R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company.It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1977.It is located on State Route 798, about one mile (1.6 km) north of Critz off State Route 626.The homestead is currently an outreach facility of Virginia Tech, and includes the restored home of R.J.
