The Rowan Profs (or "Professors") is the nickname used for the athletic teams of Rowan University. The school is a member of the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) and competes in NCAA Division III. There are 16 varsity sports teams (7 men's and 9 women's). The football, field hockey, women's lacrosse, and track & field teams play at Coach Richard "Dick" Wackar Stadium. The basketball, swimming & diving, and volleyball teams play in the Esbjornson Gymnasium.
