Ruslan Chagaev (Tatar: Cyrillic Руслан Шамил улы Чагаев, Latin Ruslan Şamil ulı Çağaev; Russian: Руслан Шамилович Чагаев) born 19 October 1978) is an Uzbek-born Russian Tatar professional boxer. He is a two-time and current WBA heavyweight champion, having first won the title in 2007 with a majority decision victory over Nikolai Valuev; this made him the first and to date only Asian in the history of boxing to hold a major heavyweight title.
