Safia El Emari (Arabic: صفية العمري‎), (born Safia Mustafa Mohamed Omari, January 20, 1949 in El-Mahalla El-Kubra) is an Egyptian actress. She was assigned as ambassador of Goodwill with the United Nations in 2007 until her resignation in 2006 as a protest on 2006 Lebanon War. She began her career as a journalist, after graduating from the Faculty of Commerce. She studied Russian language and worked as an interpreter at international conferences. She was discovered by the artist Jalal Issa.
