Ahmad Samir Altaqi (Arabic: أحمد سمير التقي‎). (born 1 January 1951) is a Syrian researcher and a Political Activist. He is currently running the Orient Research Centre in Dubai as a General Director. Al Taqi is also a cardio-vascular surgeon. He has gradually shifted to politics and was involved in diplomacy in Syria. He has previously served as Director of Orient Centre for International Studies in Damascus until 2010.
