Scarritt College for Christian Workers was a college that trained missionaries, teachers and other people dedicated to sharing Christianity. It was associated with the United Methodist Church.The institution was formed in Kansas City, Missouri as the Scarritt Bible and Training School in 1892. At this point it had the goal of training females to serve as missionaries in the Southern United States.
