It takes place in the Shadowrun campaign setting from the science fantasy tabletop role-playing game. The game was successfully crowd funded through Kickstarter, part of a trend of high-profile developers launching projects on the site. It was released for Microsoft Windows, OS X, Linux, iOS, and Android in 2013.
