Sharaabi (Hindi: शराबी, English: Drunkard) is a 1984 Indian Hindi drama film produced and directed by Prakash Mehra. This was Mehra's sixth film in a row with Amitabh Bachchan and is loosely based on Steve Gordon's 1981 film Arthur starring Dudley Moore.Sharaabi stars Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Prada with Pran and Om Prakash along with Bharat Bhushan and Ranjeet. The music was composed by Bappi Lahiri. The film was remade in Kannada as Nee Thanda Kanike with Vishnuvardhan.
