In Human–computer interaction, simultaneous editing is an End-user development technique allowing the user to make multiple simultaneous edits of text in a multiple selection at once through direct manipulation.The technique is supported by the Lapis text editor, the multiple selection feature in Sublime Text and Mozilla's Firefox developer tools, Emacs' multiple-cursors mode, and the multi edit plugin for the gedit text editor.
