Before founding Richetti, Inc., he served as White House Deputy Chief of Staff in the administration of President Bill Clinton.On March 5, 2012 he was appointed to be counselor to Vice President Joe Biden. This caused controversy due to President Obama's promise to not appoint lobbyists.
