Steven Harvey Schiff (March 18, 1947 – March 25, 1998) was an American politician. He served as a member of the United States House of Representatives, representing the first district of New Mexico from 1989 until his death from Squamous-cell skin cancer in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1998. Schiff was a Republican.Schiff was born in Chicago, Illinois. He received a B.A. at the University of Illinois and a Juris Doctor from the University of New Mexico School of Law.
