Thandavarayapuram Ramaswami Pachamuthu (better known as T. R. Pachamuthu) is an Indian educationalist, philanthropist and politician best known as the founder and chancellor of SRM University.He was born in Thandavarayapuram, Attur on 24 August 1941. He comes from the Tamil Nadu community of Parkavakulam.He is the founder of the political party Indhiya Jananayaga Katchi (IJK).
