The episode was written by series co-creators Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David, based on a remark David made once.In this episode, Jerry, at a relative's 50th anniversary dinner, makes a tactless remark about hating anybody who had a pony when they were a child. His remark upsets the female guest-of-honor, causing her to storm out in anger.
