The Scorch Trials is a 2010 young-adult dystopian science fiction novel by James Dashner and the second book in the Maze Runner Saga. It is preceded by The Maze Runner, and followed by The Death Cure, then by The Kill Order, and finally The Fever Code. A film adaptation was released on September 18, 2015 by 20th Century Fox.
