Tim Knopp is a Republican member of the Oregon Senate, representing the 27th District. A native Oregonian, Knopp has lived in Central Oregon for nearly 35 years. He served in the Oregon Legislature from 1999 to 2005, including as Oregon House Majority Leader. Knopp challenged incumbent Republican senator Chris Telfer in the 2012 primary elections, criticizing Telfer's record on job creation. Knopp defeated Telfer 68% to 32%.
