Timothy Richard Tebow (/ˈtiːboʊ/; born August 14, 1987) is an American football quarterback who (as of September 5, 2015) is a free agent. In addition to his playing skills, he received considerable press attention for his public displays of religious faith, both on and off the field. He played college football for the University of Florida, winning the Heisman Trophy in 2007 and appearing on BCS National Championship-winning teams during the 2006 and 2008 seasons.
