Twisted Metal is a series of vehicular combat video games published by Sony Computer Entertainment, and developed by various companies since its inception. The series is the longest-running PlayStation-exclusive franchise, which began on the original PlayStation in 1995, with seven additional games released since then, as well as two spin-off titles. Since the original, the series has appeared on subsequent PlayStation consoles, the PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, and PlayStation 3.
