He made his fortune (estimated at $3.6 billion in 2015) in the iron and steel industry with the Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Enterprise, and was elected three times to the regional legislature.According to the Forbes world billionaires list, Viktor Rashnikov was ranked as the 104th richest man in the world in 2007.
