West Lake Hills is a city in Travis County, Texas, United States. The population was 3,063 at the 2010 census. The city of West lake Hills is a wealthy suburb of Austin, located on the west side of Austin on the edge of the Hill Country. The city developed rapidly in the 1970s and 1980s with many sprawling luxury homes set in the hills on the south side of the Colorado River.According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.7 square miles (9.6 km2).
