Will Lamb (also known as William Lamb) is a linguist who was born in Baltimore and came to Scotland in 1996 to do an MSc in Scottish Gaelic at the University of Edinburgh. He was awarded a PhD for his research into the linguistic registers of Scottish Gaelic in 2002 and published two books based on the first ever tagged speech corpus of Scottish Gaelic. He subsequently taught Gaelic and music at the Benbecula campus of Lews Castle College.
