Woolworths.co.uk was an online retail website owned by Shop Direct Group, formed in 2009, after the demise of the high street Woolworths stores. The online store opened on 25 June 2009, but it closed in June 2015, after 6 years, leading to rumours that the Woolworths name could be sold and a return to the high street could be a possibility.
