XChat was a popular Internet Relay Chat (IRC) client. It had a choice of a tabbed document interface or tree interface, support for multiple servers and was highly configurable. Both command line and graphical versions were available.XChat was available for Unix-like systems and Microsoft Windows; derivatives with native support for OS X's Aqua interface were also available (see below).
