The Associated Press Stylebook and Briefing on Media Law, usually called the AP Stylebook, is a style and usage guide used by newspapers and in the news industry in the United States. First published in 1954, the book in recent years is updated annually by Associated Press editors, usually in June. The 50th edition was released July 14, 2015, with 300 new or revised entries. The first Basic Books edition was published in August 1977. A 60th anniversary edition was published in 2013.
