Agam is a regency of West Sumatra, Indonesia. It has an area of 2,232.30 km² and a population of 455,484 at the 2010 Census; in January 2014 this had risen to 478,490. The capital is Lubuk Basung. Bukittinggi city is surrounded by this regency but is not administratively included in it.Lake Maninjau, a crater lake, is a well-known landmark of the regency, and is used as a site for paragliding.
