Alfonso Ferrero, Cavaliere La Marmora (Italian pronunciation: [alˈfɔnso la ˈmarmora]; November 18, 1804 – January 5, 1878) was an Italian general and statesman. His brother Alessandro La Marmora founded the branch of the Italian army now called the Bersaglieri, while his older brother, Alberto della Marmora, was a soldier and naturalist.
