Anjaan (1929-1997) was the nom-de-plume of Lalji Pandey, the Hindi movie lyricist famous for songs such as "Khaike Paan Banaraswala" from Don and "Rote Hue Aate Hain Sab" from Muqaddar Ka Sikandar.Anjaan, a native of Varanasi, often used the Bhojpuri dialect of Hindi in his lyrics. He was born on 24 October 1929. Bollywood lyricist Sameer is his son.
